AMRITSAR: The 'Panj Pyare' (five beloved ones) at Takht Sri Harimandir Patna Sahib in Patna Wednesday declared Akal Takht officiating jathedar and two other jathedars as "tankhaiya" (guilty of religious misconduct ) for reinstating excommunicated Takht Patna Sahib jathedar Giani Ranjit Singh Gauhar and summoning the Takht head granthi and additional head granthi among others to Akal Takht in Amritsar, reports Yudhvir Rana.

The two others, apart from Akal Takht officiating jathedar, include Takht Kesgarh Sahib jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj & Takht Damdama Sahib jathedar Baba Tek Singh.

They announced that no decision of the Akal Takht or any other Takht outside Patna will be applicable at Takht Sri Harimandir Patna Sahib.

Takht Sri Harimandir Patna Sahib committee spokesman Harpal Johal said 'Panj Pyares' - head granthi Baldev Singh, additional head granthis Dalip Singh and Gurdial Singh & granthis - took cognisance of interference in functioning of Takht Patna Sahib, regarding the reinstatement of Ranjit Singh.
