NEW DELHI: All air defence units along the India-Pakistan border have been fully activated to counter any potential retaliation, defence officials confirmed in the early hours of Wednesday.
This came after India's launch of a major counter-terror operation , codenamed, ' Operation Sindoor '.
The Indian Army announced the operation with a message on X: "Justice is served. Jai Hind."
The mission targets terror infrastructure located in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and comes in response to the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives.
Loud explosions were reported from several areas in PoK, with reports of power outages and panic in affected regions.
