NEW DELHI: A fire broke out at the Kaiser-I-Hind building, which houses ED's Mumbai office in Ballard Pier, around 2.30 am on Sunday. Till now, no one has been injured in the incident, civic officials said
According to the Mumbai fire department , at 3:30 am, the fire brigade control room confirmed the escalation to Level-II status, indicating a significant fire emergency.
A municipal authority confirmed that the blaze was contained to the fourth storey of the five-level structure.
The authority stated that the emergency response included eight fire engines, six jumbo tankers, one aerial water tower tender, one breathing apparatus van, one rescue van, one quick response vehicle, and a 108 service ambulance at the location.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, the official added.
