Google CEO Sundar Pichai has praised Tesla CEO and owner of X Elon Musk for his ability to bring future technologies to life. Speaking on the ‘All-In’ podcast, Pichai shared his admiration for Musk’s vision and execution.
“I just spent time with Elon, maybe two weeks ago when I talked to him. His ability to build future technologies into existence, I think it's just unparalleled,” Pichai said during the podcast.
He also discussed innovation and competition in the tech industry. He noted that the landscape involves both collaboration and competition. “These are phenomenal people. I respect all of them. There’s partnerships involved, there’s competition involved,” he added.
Pichai’s remarks reflect a growing sense of mutual respect among top tech leaders, even as their companies compete in areas such as AI, autonomous vehicles, and digital platforms.

During the podcast, host David Friedberg asked Pichai about facing fierce competition in the AI space from companies led by prominent tech figures.
“Your competitors have active founders—OpenAI has Sam Altman, xAI has Elon Musk, Meta has Mark Zuckerberg, and Microsoft has Satya Nadella. Would you be willing to share your thoughts on these companies and their leaders?”
Pichai responded diplomatically, saying, “Obviously, it's a very impressive group.”
“These are some of the best companies led by some of the most driven entrepreneurs. Their involvement highlights how much innovation we can expect to see—these are people deeply committed to pushing progress forward,” he noted.
Then, with a touch of humour, he smilingly added, “Look, they’re all different personalities. I’m lucky to know each of them. I think only one of them has ever invited me to a dance—not the others.”
