Similarly, the 2025 MLB season also witnessed the shift of the Seattle Mariners ' pitching star, Logan Gilbert, to the 15-day injured list after making room for Logan Evans on the roster for the upcoming game against the Miami Marlins. Mariners star Logan Evans shares his approach on his debut against the MarlinsLogan Gilbert is taking the exit door for the next 15 days after being listed on the injured list. This came as a huge blow to the Seattle Mariners at the start of the 2025 MLB season. However, it came as a silver lining in the dark clouds for the 23-year-old pitching star Logan Evan, who went on to replace Gilbert on the roster. The American League All-Star underwent an MRI after experiencing a sprain in his right forearm during a three-game series against the Miami Marlins on Friday.

As reported by Reuters, Logan Evans spoke about his approach for his debut game against the Marlins. The young pitching talent could not contain his excitement for his debut match with the Mariners. He said-

"Just keep being me. Just be a strike thrower, use all my pitches, and strike out guys when I get them into those two-strike counts—that's kind of what I was working on, and really just make quality pitches when I need to.”

He further added-

“It wasn't really anything like reinventing the wheel. Just kind of buying into me."

While talking about his injury and being shifted to the injured list, Gilbert even spoke about how he looks forward to guiding Logan. He said-

"There are a lot of things I wish I knew at the very beginning (of my career), and I don't want to ever pile on too much when there's a lot on your debut and that kind of stuff."

He further mentioned

“But I want to be able to help him, help any of the younger guys, like with questions they have, and especially him going through it, and just not treating it too differently. His slider is so good. His stuff is so good. I told him, ‘You're plenty good; just throw strikes."

Mariners pitching talent Logan Gilbert recently made his Opening Day debut last month. He went on to pitch three innings against the Miami Marlins, restricting the batters at one side of the stadium. Reportedly, during the game, he went on to experience tightness in his forearm. After undergoing an MRI, it was revealed that he suffered a Grade 1 strain of the flexor in his right elbow.
