Elder Scrolls Online's summer 2025 'Writhing Wall' event will push your entire server to the limit

Tamriel is bracing for impact. Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is about to drop one of its boldest, most ambitious events yet, and it’s unlike anything players have seen before. Launching in late summer 2025, the all-new Writhing Wall event is set to redefine how the ESO community experiences in-game collaboration.

This limited-time, server-wide cooperative event will unfold in real-time across mega-servers, pushing players into an all-hands-on-deck race against darkness — and each other.
A Wall of Souls, A Whole Server to Tear It Down Set on the war-torn island of Solstice, the Writhing Wall is no simple skirmish. A titanic barrier made of tormented souls now splits the island in half — and with it, cuts off the Eastern region where the Cult of the Black Worm gathers its strength.

The goal? Tear the wall down before the cult unleashes a full-blown invasion.

But here’s the twist: no one can do it alone. This isn’t your usual dungeon grind or solo story quest. Instead, entire servers must unite to advance through stages of the event, each bringing new challenges, mechanics, and objectives. It’s a shared battleground where progression is tracked across the entire player base.
