Tamriel is bracing for impact. Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is about to drop one of its boldest, most ambitious events yet, and it’s unlike anything players have seen before. Launching in late summer 2025, the all-new Writhing Wall event is set to redefine how the ESO community experiences in-game collaboration.
This limited-time, server-wide cooperative event will unfold in real-time across mega-servers, pushing players into an all-hands-on-deck race against darkness — and each other.
A Wall of Souls, A Whole Server to Tear It Down Set on the war-torn island of Solstice, the Writhing Wall is no simple skirmish. A titanic barrier made of tormented souls now splits the island in half — and with it, cuts off the Eastern region where the Cult of the Black Worm gathers its strength.
The goal? Tear the wall down before the cult unleashes a full-blown invasion.
But here’s the twist: no one can do it alone. This isn’t your usual dungeon grind or solo story quest. Instead, entire servers must unite to advance through stages of the event, each bringing new challenges, mechanics, and objectives. It’s a shared battleground where progression is tracked across the entire player base.
The Stakes Are Server-Wide From siege camps to soulforged weapons, Writhing Wall features dynamic objectives that evolve as the community progresses. Players must:
Win Together… or Watch It Burn There’s a catch — and it’s huge. Servers can fail. If the Writhing Wall holds, the story may take a darker turn. Rumors swirl that failure could alter the course of the Seasons of the Worm narrative, setting your server on a unique path no others will share.
On the flip side, there’s an unspoken challenge in the air: Which server will break through first? Which community will rally hardest, smartest, and fastest?
It’s part race, part war effort, and all-out community chaos — in the best way possible.
A Summer to Remember Writhing Wall drops late summer 2025, and ESO fans should start gearing up now. Whether you're a solo player, guild leader, or returning adventurer, this is your call to arms. Tamriel’s fate won’t rest in the hands of the few — it’ll be decided by the many. Time to make history.
