The Dodgers created a new record with their unbroken winning feat against the Atlanta Braves during the 2025 MLB season. The two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani stole the spotlight with his widely talked about walk-off home run, which accelerated the Los Angeles Dodgers to dominate the Braves with a lead of 8-0. The Dodgers went on to become the first MLB team to open a season with a winning streak.
Dodgers two-way star Shohei Ohtani’s recent feat leads the franchise to a new recordThe Shohei Ohtani and team’s actions and intent speak volumes about their mindset for the 2025 MLB season. With their recent unbeaten streak against the Atlanta Braves, the Los Angeles Dodgers made headlines across the globe. The icing on the cake was the walk-off home run by the Dodgers’ designated hitter, Shohei Ohtani, on his bobblehead night.
During the post-game interview, Shohei Ohtani spoke about his bobblehead night and even gave the much-needed credit to the Dodgers’ infielder Max Muncy . He said via interpreter Will Ireton-
“If I didn’t get a good pitch to hit, I was willing to walk. Coming into the inning, tied in that last at-bat, it just felt like we really had a good shot to win. Overall, not just tonight, there is a really good vibe within the team. So I just think that’s allowing us to come back in these games to win.”
While talking about Max Muncy, Ohtani said-
"I think the credit really goes to Max Muncy to be able to pull through and tie the game. For me, coming into the inning, tied in that last at-bat, it just felt like we really had a good shot to win."
However, the embarrassing loss against the Dodgers has brought the entire team of the Atlanta Braves under the scanner, with the cracks and loopholes in the roster visible from left, right, and center. The bad start to the Atlanta Braves has left an uncertain trajectory with respect to the ongoing MLB season’s playoffs. With Shohei Ohtani and other Dodgers’ stars blasting the Braves athletes and restricting them on the field, not much can be predicted for the Atlanta Braves.
