Kiara Advani made her grand debut at the MET Gala 2025, and she wasn’t alone. Glowing in gold and beaming with joy, Kiara proudly walked the iconic steps not only as a Bollywood star but also as a soon-to-be mum. Her baby bump stole the spotlight, and so did her sweet message to her unborn baby.
Though Kiara has dazzled on many red carpets before, this one was extra special. It marked her baby’s unofficial debut too! In a behind-the-scenes video shared by DietSabya on Instagram is winning hearts, the 'Shershaah' actress shares a special note with her little one, saying, “Hey buddy, you were on the steps of the MET.”
Can it get any cuter?
A dress that speaks of Motherhood
Kiara’s outfit wasn’t just a fashion moment, it was a heartfelt tribute to the beautiful journey she’s on. The gown, designed by Gaurav Gupta, was called ‘Bravehearts’ and was crafted with deep meaning. The stunning gold breastplate was decorated with ghungroos and crystals. But what made it truly special were the sculpted shapes of a ‘Mother Heart’ and a ‘Baby Heart’, joined together by a chain shaped like an umbilical cord.
Speaking about her vision, Kiara said, “My brief to Gaurav was: This is the next phase of my life, and I want that to be part of the expression of this outfit. And we took the theme, I love the way it's been interpreted. And then to tie it up with me doing this for my baby, like André paved the way for the next generation.”
Kiara loves the ‘umbilical cord’ detailing
She added, “I like the way the little detailing. The umbilical cord is actually such a sweet.” This emotional design was also a nod to the late fashion icon André Leon Talley. Kiara honoured him with a flowing double-panelled cape, his signature style, blending Indian craftsmanship with global glamour.
Kiara and her husband, actor Sidharth Malhotra, first revealed they were expecting in February 2025. The couple posted a lovely photo of white knitted baby socks with the caption, “The greatest gift of our lives. Coming soon.”
