Manoj Kumar funeral: Raza Murad, Prem Chopra accompanied by his wife, and other celebs from the fatenity attend beloved Bharat Kumar's last rites

Yesterday, the film industry experienced a significant loss with the passing of legendary actor and director Manoj Kumar. The news left fans and celebrities in a deep state of shock. Manoj, affectionately known as Bharat Kumar, had been battling illness for some time, before breathing his last at a hospital in Mumbai. He was 87.



Funeral Arrangements



Following his death, Manoj Kumar's body was kept at the hospital before being brought to his home early Saturday morning. Visuals from the actor-director's residence saw members of his family helping out in placing floral arrangements and putting up a large picture of the late star.



Celebrities Attend Last Rites











Well-known celebrities such as Anu Malik, Zayed Khan, Raza Murad, Prem Chopra with wife, Shubash Chandra, Sudhanshu Pandey, Amit Khanna, Rajpal Yadav were among the early arrivals at the ceremony. Writer Salim Khan, who worked with Manoj on his films, also arrived to pay his last respects.

Cremation Details



Manoj Kumar's cremation was scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon at the Pawan Hans crematorium, located in front of Nanavati Hospital in Vile Parle. His son, Kunal had informed the media on Friday, "We will leave the hospital at 9 o'clock. At 10 o'clock we will come to our home. And at 11 o'clock we will go to Pawan Hans for the cremation."





Funeral Procession



The funeral will be conducted with full state honours, and the ambulance carrying his mortal remains was adorned with tri-coloured flowers resembling the indian national flag.
