Dharmendra arrives at Manoj Kumar's house to pay his respect as the legendary actor passes away, says, 'industry mein hamara bachpan...' - WATCH VIDEO

Legendary actor Manoj Kumar passed away in the wee hours of Friday. The actor was suffering from a prolonged illness. Aruna Irani exclusively told ETimes, "Unke lungs mein paani bhar jata tha (fluid would accumulate in his lungs), and he used to come for treatment, stay for a few days, and then go back home. One cannot go against time and age. He had been unwell for a long time”

As the actor breathed his last, several celebrities have paid tribute to the actor and mourned his loss. Some celebrities have also started visiting the actor's house to pay respect to him. Dharmendra was spotted arriving at Manoj Kumar's house and he looked distraught. For those not in the know, Dharmendra recently underwent an eye surgery and was seen coming out of the hospital, 2 days ago. Yet, the actor made sure to visit him.

Dharmendra and Manoj Kumar had shared screen space in the 1962 movie 'Shaadi'.

The actor also spoke about his memories with Manoj Kumar. Dharmendra said in this video shared by ANI, "Bohot si baatein hai, film industry mein hamara bachpan saath hi guzra hai. (We have many memories together. We spent our earlier days in the film industry together.)"

Raveena Tandon was also spotted at Manoj Kumar's house. Meanwhile, many other celebs offered their condolences after his demise. Aamir Khan said, "Manoj Kumar was not just an actor, and film-maker, he was an institution. I have learnt so much watching his films.His films were often based on important social themes which brought him really close to the common man. My heartfelt condolences to his family 🙏🏽"

Ajay Devgn wrote, "Manoj Kumar ji was not just a cinematic icon - he was a personal milestone in my family’s journey. He gave my father, Veeru Devgan, his very first break as an action director in Roti Kapda Aur Makaan. Manoj Kumar's last rites will take place on Saturday, March 5.
