Strictly Come Dancing 2025's launch show has arrived with fans eager to know exactly when the fun will begin.

While summer is firmly behind us, the colder nights do signal the start of more cosy evenings in front of the TV and the return of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.

There will be 15 new celebrities nervously waiting to take to the dance floor for the launch show, including radio presenter Vicky Pattinson, The Apprentice's Thomas Skinner and model Ellie Goldstein.

And of course, Strictly wouldn't be the same without its presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, and its line-up of fabulous judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas. You can sign up for our Strictly Come Dancing newsletter here.

Tonight will see the celebrities matched up with their new professional dance partners so when will the launch show begin?

Strictly Come Dancing 2025 is going to start this evening, Saturday, September 20, at 6.40pm and will run until 8.30pm, on BBC One.

Not only are fans officially going to be seeing who will be this year's Strictly stars tonight but also find out which professionals are going to be competing.

There will be some extraordinary performances as well to get excited about, including one from Strictly champions Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell who recently announced her pregnancy.

All of the Strictly professionals will be taking part in a dazzling routine to kick off the show and newcomers Alexis Warr and Julian Cailion will have a routine of their own.

American dancer Alexis previously won the competition So You Think You Can Dance while Australian-born Julian Caillon has featured on America's Dancing With The Stars.

Singer Jessie J is also going to be performing while some of the dancing professionals perform.

Strictly will be the former The Voice coach's big TV comeback after she had a mastectomy following an early breast cancer diagnosis.

It has been revealed that there has thankfully been no further spread of the disease with the singer confirming that she will undergo reconstructive surgery, adding that there was "lots of healing to go".

Strictly Come Dancing 2025's launch show premieres on Saturday, September 20, at 6.40pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
