Many fans of University Challenge were delighted over an "easy question" on Tuesday evening's show. The BBC programme is well known for throwing out exceptionally difficult questions to competing teams made up of university students and alumni.
The latest showing saw host Amol Rajan present the first round of the competition with a match between Magdalen College, Oxford and Robinson College, Cambridge. Fans at home tweeted along on social media with some admitting that most of the questions were "going over their head" until the show asked one "easier" alcohol related question. Viewers were delighted as they "finally got one right". But could you answer it? Amol asked: "The predominant flavour in most gins comes from the seed cones, usually called berries, of which genus of coniferous plants in the cypress family?" One of the teams conferred as a player suggested: "Is it juniper?" Another teammate replied: "I think it is juniper berries, but I don't know..."
Eventually they all nodded in agreement before delivering the answer that they had conferred. Amol confirmed: "It is juniper berries, yes."
Fans at home also got it right, with one writing on social media: "I got the questions on gin correct. Everything else goes over my head. Which aptly sums me up. #universitychallenge."
Another echoed: "I've got my gin correct! Hup! #UniversityChallenge." Someone else shared: "I just love watching #UniversityChallenge. I'm even more excited when I get a question right!"
One more delighted fan penned: "For the first time ever, I got questions right in both #OnlyConnect & #UniversityChallenge."
Another recent episode also had an "easy" question - but it managed to leave some of the players completely stumped. After successfully banging out correct answers to questions about science, literature, and maths, there was one topic that left the contestants seemingly scratching their heads - much to the amusement of those watching at home.
There was a music round with clips being played into the studio as the players had to name the artists who were the voices behind the songs.
One of the clues were: "This singer sang this song in honour of her collaboration with Marvin Gaye." The clip then played as the contestants appeared to be clueless. One player shook his head as he admitted: "I don't know."
After some conferring the team decided to pass, as Amol revealed: "It's Diana Ross." While the team seemed to struggle, fans at home branded the round as "easy" and gloated over how many they got right themselves.
"P*** easy music round #UniversityChallenge," one declared on Twitter, while another complained: "This is a boring match #UniversityChallenge"
