Salford gunman: Armed police deployed near Manchester in manhunt for cyclist with gun

Police have swarmed two streets in Salford and a cordon is in place after reports of a gun pointed at a crowd last night, causing screams of terror. A crossbow was recovered last night.

Armed police descended on Romney Street at around 9.30pm on Monday night (April 14) and a large cordon remains in place.

A police helicopter was seen circling the scene of the incident. Witnesses described an air ambulance landing nearby, with 'at least 30' armed officers in attendance.

Police say seven people have been arrested after the night of terror.
