A body has been found in the search for missing mum Rachel Booth, 38, who was last seen at around 3.50am on Saturday when she walked into a petrol garage five miles from her home.
Cheshire Police say the body, recovered from a lake, is believed to be Rachel's and her family have been made aware of the tragic update.
The force said in a statement: "Whilst formal identification is yet to take place, it is believed to be that of Rachel. Her family have been made aware and are being supported by specialist officers. They have requested privacy at this time."
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for the coroner, the spokesman said.
The tragic discovery comes after a days-long search operation which had detectives scouring waterways and woodland for the missing mum.
