A cooler is a great addition to picnics in the summer, days at the beach and camping trips. The has just launched, and it comes in 28L, 42L and 61L sizes. The medium size has already been reduced from £279.99 to £249.99 in anticipation of the summer months, so now is a great time to buy. It can store up to 68 drink cans, so it's pretty spacious and ideal for large groups. You can also pick from grey, white and olive green shades.
The means it now costs the same as the small size, so you can essentially get 14L of extra space without paying any extra. Ninja's new launch rivals the from Yeti, which is much more expensive at £425.
Taking food and drink out with you means you can save money and find somewhere with the best views, but the main thing to look for in a cooler is how long it can keep the contents cold. Ninja tested the by filling it with ice and closing the lid and concluded that it took days for the ice to melt and the temperature inside to exceed 4.5 degrees.
So, is ideal if you're staying somewhere for a few days and want to stock up on refrigerated food and cold beverages.
has wheels designed to work on all terrains and an extended handle for pulling it or carrying it with the side handles. It also has a sturdy lockable lid that is also flat so it can be used as a table.
There are two compartments for storing food and drink: the main section for keeping food, drinks, and ice cold, and an outer drawer that's easily accessible and can be used for food that needs to stay dry, like sandwiches and fruit.
Although the has not long been available, it's already racking up reviews from shoppers who've been sent it for free to test out ahead of the summer. One review reads: ''I have tried it in a warm home for the last five days. We've opened it each day and checked the contents. The ice lasted until today when most of it has now turned to water but the items inside were still cold. The items in the drawer remained very cold, we'd put them in frozen. Overall this worked well and is a lovely sturdy unit with a large capacity, easily enough for a family trip.''
Another added: ''This has been the best cooler I have used. The ice in the cooler lasted for a good four days and even though towards the end when the ice turned to water, the insulation in the cooler kept our drinks very cold.''
They went on to say: ''Very generous capacity easily holds enough drinks for a gathering. The dry drawer is a major plus point as it truly does keep items such as sandwiches, fruit, crudités and dips very cold without the worry of water getting to the items. Opening the drawer however, did not glide as smoothly as I expected it to unfortunately, but this didn't effect its performance. I was impressed by the ease and sturdiness of the terrain wheels making the cooler extremely easy to manoeuvre, along with the pull out handle bar. Overall, the cooling performance is excellent and the item sturdy, manoeuvrable and very well made indeed.''
Alternatively, if you're looking for a cheaper alternative, the from Cotswold Outdoor costs £135. It is made from eco-friendly recycled resin and can keep ice frozen for up to five days. The clever design also has cup holders in the lid, so it can double up as a table.
