The Chase was off to an awkward start when one contestant made a grovelling apology to her teammate before risking £94,000 in a nail-biting fight against Paul Sinha. Bradley Walsh was at the helm of the ITV quiz show once again when players Harry, Alex, Patricia and Rachel attempted to wrangle as much cash as possible from The Sinnerman.
It didn't go well for Alex or Patricia, who found themselves losing the head-to-head round and axed from the final Chase. Harry was the first through after pocketing £6,000 in his own head-to-head, leaving him desperate for Rachel to rejoin the team so he wouldn't be facing the final round alone.
But when The Sinnerman gave Rachel the choice between £1,000, £5,000 and a whopping £94,000, she was left grovelling to Harry on the bench.
Harry told her: "No way should you be taking that £94,000 it is just there to tempt you. I honestly would go with the £1,000. Get back here, we need two people, if we have £1,000 extra that is money in our pocket."
But Rachel apologised: "Oh Harry! Oh god, I am going to have to do it! I am going to have to go for £94,000. I am sorry, I am so sorry Harry but £94,000..."
Harry encouraged her: "You can do it," and clearly didn't hold it against her - and thankfully Rachel made it through to the final, bumping up the prize pot to an incredible £100,000.
Tragically, the pair lost out on the whopping jackpot when The Sinnerman caught them with 16 seconds to spare, telling them: "Unlucky!
"Superb playing and the game was a pleasure! I had to be on my game there, the questions were really tricky."
