Meghan Markle branded 'terribly inauthentic' over 'guilt' claim

Meghan Markle has been accused of another own goal by a branding expert, who also referred to her as "inauthentic". During 'Confessions of a Female Founder' - released on Tuesday - discussed the .

Doug Eldridge, who is branding expert and the founder of Achilles PR, claimed to Fox News Digital that Meghan's "confessions" from the season only continue to paint the former actress as "inauthentic."

He said: "The personal revelations were inevitable but terribly inauthentic. It's like humidity - you can't see it, but you feel it and it's undeniable.

"For Meghan, this was a tactic to try and become more relatable to her audience, but you can't fake authenticity; you either have it or you don't. This has been an ongoing struggle for her."

He added: "In terms of the royal family, her indirect references continue to hurt her with the target audience."

In the latest episode of her podcast, which launched back in April, Meghan said: "I think so many women, especially, we're taught to not even talk about money, and there's lots of guilt mentality surrounding having a lot," the Duchess of Sussex said, as quoted by

The Duchess of Sussex then appeared to hint at a future step into the fashion industry - but said for now she is planning to launch a new range of merchandise in early 2026.

Meghan said: "The category of fashion is something I will explore at a later date, because I do think that's an interesting space for me."
