M4 traffic LIVE: Chaos as horror 70mph gales force motorway shut

Traffic chaos has erupted for drivers on the M4 this afternoon as a section of the motorway has been forced to close in both directions. The effects are being felt in surrounding areas as traffic is diverted to other roads.

The whole of Wales is covered by a weather warning with winds of up to 70mph, which makes driving at high speeds more dangerous.
