The final lineup of 26 nations set to compete in the highly anticipated Eurovision Song Contest 2025 has been officially announced, just days before this weekend's grand spectacle.
Switzerland's Basel, a vibrant cultural hub and scenic city straddling the Rhine River, proudly hosts the 69th edition of the renowned world music competition, revisiting Swiss hospitality first experienced during the inaugural contest in 1956.
Ahead of the Grand Final on Saturday (May 17), a whopping 37 countries have showcased their musical talents. The finalists consist of the top ten performers from each Semi-Final, held on Tuesday (May 13) and Thursday (May 15).
Among them are the UK's Remember Monday, who assured themselves a spot in the Grand Final as part of the Big Five - the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, France, Italy - while Switzerland also secured its place following Nemo's triumph in the 2024 contest.
Remember Monday, representing the UK with their catchy tune 'What The Hell Just Happened?' is the nation's first all-female group entry since 1999.
UK viewers are in for a "Super Saturday" as they are treated to a unique Eurovision-themed episode of Doctor Who - titled The Interstellar Song Contest - scheduled ahead of the Eurovision grand finale, with the episode available from 8am on BBC iPlayer. Meanwhile, Graham Norton will be back in the commentator's seat for the main event.
This year's show will be presented by Hazel Brugger, Sandra Studer and Michelle Hunziker, who will bring a touch of glamour to proceedings, reports .

The Eurovision Song Contest will be broadcast across BBC One, BBC iPlayer, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds. Now in its 69th year, millions will tune in to see who will be crowned the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 champion.
The Eurovision Song Contest airs this Saturday at 8pm on BBC One.
