Emmerdale Kev's true identity exposed as fans 'work out' he already knows Victoria Sugden

Emmerdale fans are speculating about a potential dark connection between newcomer Kev (played by Chris Coghill) and Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins). The mysterious character was introduced earlier this week and was quickly revealed to have ties to Robert Sugden. It transpired that Kev is actually Robert's husband as the pair got married while in prison together. Robert confided in Victoria, explaining that Kev had protected him after he was targeted behind bars.

He also revealed that Kev had been serving time for armed robbery but is now out on day release, and has just months to live. Kev's sudden arrival is expected to stir up drama, especially for Robert and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), who have been growing closer again in the wake of John Sugden's (Oliver Farnworth) dramatic departure.

Many viewers believe Kev's backstory is more complex than it seems, with speculation mounting that he may have a connection to Lee Posner (Kris Mochrie).

In 2019, after Lee assaulted Victoria, Robert attacked him with a shovel. Lee later died from his injuries, leading to Robert's 14-year prison sentence, where he would go on to meet Kev.

Sharing their theories online, one wrote: "Call me crazy and it's probably not even true but I've had this thought about K for days now. What if he's somehow linked to Lee? Could be why he knows of Vic & Harry & has took a shine to Rob? Also now with this Isabel article & the big twist leading to her exit?

A second responded: "Oh god but that would be a really good twist to this story . Vic wouldn't be able to handle it if Robert got hurt in prison because of someone connected to Lee."

Agreeing, a third said: "Yes, and that could be a reason he doesn't want to talk to her about it, not just because of his trauma. And could also lead to end when Victoria will maybe kill Kev, if he is treat to her son abd Robert and that leads to her exit, meaning prison or they help her escape."

Another echoed: "Yes it's a distinct possibility and kind of crossed by mind too and maybe why he also cut all family off."

Earlier in the week, Victoria encouraged Robert to come clean to Aaron about Kev, but he pleaded with his sister to stay silent.

In tonight's episode, now available to stream on ITVX, Robert and Aaron agree to give their relationship another chance. However, still unable to reveal the truth about Kev, Robert asks Aaron if they can keep their reunion private for the time being.
