was embarrassed with a brutal segment on CNN as they put together a montage of him being praised by his team on camera. Alongside the 30 second video, CNN added a "breaking news" ticker which read: "Investor: Some quietly fear whether 'Trump might be insane'." As the clip showed a number of people flooding Trump with praise to his face during cabinet meetings, viewers rushed to social media to share their stunned opinion,
Richard Hanania, the President of The Centre for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology, wrote: "NN compilation of cabinet officials praising Trump during a meeting. North Koreans are forced into this. Each of these people chose to live like this. This is anti-American, even anti-human. They should be ashamed." Others agreed, as one viewer asked: "Why would anyone need such as this? Does he need mental help?" as a second chimed in: "It's kinda cringe."
A third swiped: "Right out of a Game Of Thrones script."
A fourth added: "Sounds like a classic moment of exaggerated loyalty-politics can get pretty theatrical."
However, other social media users rushed to Trump's defence, as one said: "This is normal, having a strong leader is a sign of a healthy nation and it gives the nation confidence in their leadership and the country."
A second offered: "Thanks CNN I appreciate people praising a brilliant president!"
