What is the whole matter?
According to the information, a person named Bapu Komkar had a liver transplant on August 15, in which his wife Kamini Komkar donated a part of her liver. Two days after the transplant, Bapu Komkar died on August 17. After this, on August 21, Kamini also got an infection, due to which she also died during treatment.

The couple's relatives have demanded a high-level investigation, alleging medical negligence in this entire case. They say that the hospital neither treated them properly nor informed them about the danger in time .

Taking the matter seriously
The Deputy Director of Health Services, Dr. Naganath Yampalli, said that the hospital has been asked to submit all the documents, including the information of the donor and recipient, video recording, and the treatment process by 10 am on Monday.

What did the hospital say?
Sahyadri Hospital has issued a statement expressing grief over this tragic incident and said that they will fully cooperate in the investigation. The statement also said that Bapu Komkar was already a high-risk patient, whose condition was quite complicated. The hospital also said that Kamini's condition was initially fine after surgery, but later she suffered septic shock and multi-organ failure, which could not be stopped.

At present, the investigation of the health department is going on, and further action in the case will be taken on the basis of the report submitted by the hospital. At the same time, the Komkar family is adamant about demanding justice.
