Trump children set to lose a fortune from their late mother's £13.2m home after price cut

The New York townhouse, once the residence of Donald Trump's ex-wife, Ivana Trump, has seen a significant drop in its asking price.

Ivana Trump, the former spouse of President Trump, tragically passed away at 73 after a fall down the stairs in her Lennox Hill home on 14 July 2022. The property was swiftly put up for sale with a hefty price tag of $26.5 million.

However, after almost a year without a buyer, the price was reduced to $22.5 million before being taken off the market. In June 2024, it reappeared with a significantly lower asking price of $19.5 million. The news comes as experts warn Trump is showing one rare sign of brain condition and 'it's getting worse'.

Now, three years on, the luxurious townhouse has undergone another price cut.

As reported by the New York Post, the property is now listed for $17.9 million. The six-storey, 8,725-square-foot home, located on East 64th Street, boasts five bedrooms and five full bathrooms, according to the Irish Star, reports the Mirror US.

The house, where Ivana met her tragic end, features a gated lift and a central, curved staircase linking the floors.

The dwelling is lavishly decorated with a crystal chandelier, silk wallpaper, and a gold-embossed fireplace. It also includes a media room and sauna.

Following Ivana Trump's death in July 2022, the townhouse didn't immediately pass to a new owner. Instead, it became part of her estate, with her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric, named as the main beneficiaries.

The proceeds from the potential sale of the Upper East Side property are to be split among them, leaving President Trump's three eldest offspring poised to pocket considerably less than they might have anticipated.

Ivana snapped up the residence for a cool $2.5 million back in 1992 following her split from Donald, as reported by the Wall Street Journal. She called it home right up until her death, some 30 years on.

The cause of Ivana's death was determined by New York City's medical examiner to be "blunt impact injuries" to the torso. Her funeral mass took place in New York City, with the entire Trump clan present to pay their respects.
