Newly released footage shows Eddie Hearn was left seething after witnessing Chris Eubank Jr slap Conor Benn in the face ahead of their first fight.
Eubank Jr and Benn are set to renew hostilities on November 15 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - seven months on from their epic initial encounter. In a back-and-forth war earlier this year, Eubank Jr handed Benn the first loss of his professional career after scoring a points victory in north London.
The pair were contracted to an immediate rematch which was initially set for September 20. However, Eubank Jr insisted he would not be ready. The news plunged the sequel into doubt, but the two teams were able to strike a deal and will now clash later this year.
Their first showdown was marred by controversy after Eubank Jr slapped Benn with an egg during the pre-fight press conference. The 35-year-old had an egg in his hand in reference to Benn claiming his failed drug test in 2022 was as a result of him eating too many. Eubank Jr was later fined £100,000 following the incident. Ahead of the release of 'Matchroom: The Greatest Showmen' - which is now airing on Netflix - the streaming service released new footage in the aftermath of the infamous egg-slap incident.
WARNING: CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE
Eubank Jr and Benn traded some verbal jabs, before the former slapped his rival in the face - leaving several members in attendance stunned. As security intervened, Hearn can be heard saying "p**** move, mate." Several security guards swarmed around Benn as they tried to de-escalate situation and calm the Brit down.
Hearn seemingly had a message for rival promoter Ben Shalom in the aftermath, saying: "If I found out you knew about it, you are f****** done for." The clip then cuts to Hearn walking away from the venue and was visibly left enraged following the clash on-stage between the fighters. "Dog moves, man," said the boxing promoter to various individuals around him. He added: "Egg. Eggs! I thought it was a glass. Now, I know, it was eggs. To carry something up and hit someone around the face with it, for me, is a b**** move. And what happens now is the game changes. We have to make sure that this does not get out of control."

The boxing promoter will be hoping for a little less chaos in the build-up to the rematch. Another major talking point ahead of the first outing was the topic of Chris Eubank Sr. The former world champion blasted his son's fight with Benn from minute one, but shocked the world after he turned up on fight night to support his child.
Eubank Jr spent two nights in hospital after sustaining some minor injuries from the bout. With just a few months to go until the sequel, the British boxing star has opened up on his current relationship with his father. Appearing on Loose Women last month, Eubank Jr admitted: "I'm scheduled to fight again November 15, it's a rematch and my father wasn't going to come to the first one, he called me the night before and our relationship has grown since then but he doesn't want me to get back into the ring.
"He's still worried even though I won the first fight. I was in hospital for a few days and he doesn't want me to go through that again. For this fight, I think he's going to be a lot more supportive."
When is Conor Benn vs Chris Eubank Jr II?The 12-round middleweight rematch is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 15. It will once again be held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London. Official times are yet to be confirmed - but it is likely that the undercard will begin at around 5pm UK time.
In the main event, the ringwalks will likely take place at around 9:50pm UK time. The first clash was shown on DAZN PPV for a price of £19.95, but full broadcast details will be confirmed in the near future.
