Several Manchester United players reportedly advised Alejandro Garnacho to change his attitude at the club before his move to Chelsea. The 21-year-old, who completed his £40million transfer to Stamford Bridge in the summer, is set to return to Old Trafford when United face Chelsea in thePremier League.
His three-year spell in Manchester was filled with controversy - outlined by disputes with both Erik ten HagandRuben Amorim. His most public disagreement with Amorim came after he reacted angrily to being named on the bench during the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.
Amorim was displeased with his reaction, leading to Garnacho spending pre-season training away from United's first-team. He subsequently signed a lucrative seven-year contract at Chelsea, with the Reds securing a 10 per cent sell-on clause. While his talent is rarely questioned, doubts remain about his mentality.

The Sunreports that during his fallout with Amorim, several senior players, including Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, and Harry Maguire, tried to persuade him to focus more on the team rather than just himself, reports The Express. However, Garnacho seemed to ignore his team-mates' advice, leading Amorim to conclude that he was creating a negative atmosphere in the dressing room.
The former Sporting Clube de Portugal head coach was reportedly irritated by his frequent social media posts and comments in the mainstream media. Like the rest of the United team, Amorim was, initially, eager to work with the winger when he took over at the helm in November.
However, after observing Garnacho's behaviour in Plzen in December, his attitude shifted. The Portuguese manager also grew weary of Garnacho's attitude when things didn't go his way. In the end, a separation was inevitable while sources close to Amorim have disclosed he has never regretted his decision.
