Five shows to binge watch after Netflix's You ends including 'addictive' BBC drama

After six gripping years, Netflix's notorious stalker and serial killer, Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley), is bidding his final farewell to viewers. First introduced in 2018 as the protagonist of the hit drama You, the series is now airing its fifth and last season, premiering on Thursday, 24 April.

Joe's journey began with an obsession for Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail), which he pursued by stalking her on social media. As the series unfolded, our lead character morphed into a prolific serial killer.

However, Eve's mission takes a turn when she finds herself attracted to her target. Like You, the narrative revolves around anti-heroes who frequently break the law.

The drama boasts an impressive team both in front of and behind the camera, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) and Emerald Fennell (Saltburn) having served as writers in the first two seasons.

Over its four-year run, the series bagged a BAFTA TV Award for Outstanding Drama Series, and racked up a further nine nominations between 2019 and 2021.

The drama currently holds a solid 80 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with one viewer describing it as "captivating, dramatic, addictive and different."

The Fall

Wolf, based on Mo Hayder's Jack Caffery book series, follows obsessive detective Jack Caffery. It stars dancer and actor Ukweli Roach in the lead role.

The synopsis reads: "Obsessed with the neighbour he believes murdered his brother in the 90s, DI Jack Caffery finds himself trying to right the wrongs of others. Meanwhile, a wealthy family in Monmouthshire are the victims of a psychopath's cruel games."

Thriller enthusiasts are in for a treat with the crime drama, which may not feature a serial killer like Joe from You, but is packed with plot twists that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
