Emmerdale has been hit with a string of Ofcom complaints over violent murder scenes. The ITV soap is currently broadcasting some huge scenes, which has seen killer John Sugden's endgame play out.
At the time, angry fans fumed as they saw John step out the car with an axe in his handsand made his way over to John. Taking to X at the time, one fan said: "This is the cruellest thing Emmerdale has ever done I hate this f***ing show." Another viewer posted: "I can’t believe it looks like Mack is actually getting killed."
A third fan reacted with: "I’m so annoyed," as a fourth said: "I was just starting to feel fine and now I'm about to cry again." A further post said: "He’s going to die isn’t he?"
Mack didn't die but was captured again by John, who has now given him an injection to end it all when it gets too much. John is unable to come back and help Mack, given that he plunged off a cliff with his husband Aaron Dingle.

The ITV soap received a total of 73 complaints for its dramatic scenes on Thursday September 4th when Mackenzie tried to escape from John's grasp and ended up being found as John threatened him with an axe.
However, there's more drama ahead this week as John Sugden threw himself and Aaron Dingle off the cliff to blame Robert Sugden for what had happened and send his brother to jail.
Mackenzie star Lawrence Robb previously teased what it was like keeping the secret that Mack was alive.
"I’m glad the secret that Mack isn’t quite dead (yet) is over. I have felt slightly deceitful over the last two weeks when people have asked me about his death," he said.
"While I have enjoyed being somewhat of an enigma over that time, I’m really looking forward to seeing how the drama we shot is received on screen. Both Ollie and I really enjoyed shooting it, so hopefully the jeopardy of Mack’s position will keep the audience gripped!" Will Mack manage to survive - and what's going to happen to Aaron Dingle and John Sugden?
Ryan Hawley has warned fans that things aren't looking good for Robert, with him teasing: "Everything is getting blamed on Robert and no one believes him. Maybe Robert might leave - maybe."
"John and Aaron are going to be falling over the cliff - will they survive, will they not?" Ryan added, with Danny sharing: "I think it's more about which one survives - if any. That's a good teaser."
