, brace yourselves - there’s a major shake-up coming to the Celebrity house. The iconic mezzanine level, a staple of the house’s design for years, has reportedly been scrapped for the new series. But don’t panic just yet, hosts and have reassured fans that plenty of surprises are still in store.
Speaking about the much-anticipated return of , Will revealed during an interview that while some changes are happening, the show’s essence remains intact. “The only thing—the rumour we’ve heard—is that it might all be on one level,” he said. “So no mezzanine, but instead of the mezzanine, we’ve been assured that there will be other interesting and surprising features of the house.”
Naturally, this has sent speculation into overdrive about what Big Brother might be cooking up in its place. Could it be a secret room? A hidden twist? Or, as Will teased, “I’d be very surprised if there isn’t a hot tub.”

Fans will remember that previous series have seen some wild additions to the house, from hidden basements to mysterious dungeons. Will hinted that the house’s new layout will still keep housemates on edge.
“It always blows my mind how they manage to get new rooms and areas that you can’t quite work out how it all fits together, architecturally,” he explained. “Like in the last series with the secret basement—people thought they were going underground, but actually, they were kind of going up to go down. There’s all kinds of stuff.”
The house’s design plays a crucial role in the mind games that Big Brother is famous for, and according to Will, that’s not about to change.
“I think whatever the housemates require, whatever the narrative, however things go, there will be tricks up Big Brother’s sleeve to make sure that no one gets too settled. Everybody is constantly on their toes,” he said.

So while the mezzanine may be gone, one thing is certain - Big Brother is still in control, and the new Celebrity house is set to be just as unpredictable as ever.
The show is set to launch in just a matter of days and while no official line-up has yet been shared, it's reported that former stars, a WAG and an Olympian will enter the famous house.
It's claimed that star, Jack P Shepherd, Daley Thompson and singer Chesney Hawkes are amongst the names set to be revealed by hosts and next Monday.
Fans can expect some levels of drama from the show, with legend Patsy Palmer having reportedly signed on the dotted line as he exit from the One soap opera looms. A source told the last week: "Patsy Palmer is set to join Celebrity Big Brother when the new series begins next month... [She] is in final talks with show bosses to enter the famous abode."
Celebrity Big Brother returns on Monday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
