Chaitra Navratri 2025: Chaitra Navratri has started from March 30. Today is the third day of Navratri. Different offerings are made to Mata Rani on the 9 days of Navratri, because different forms of Durga Mata are worshiped on every day of Navratri. An Akhand Jyoti is lit during Navratri, which should keep burning continuously for 9 days. In such a situation, the question remains in everyone's mind that lighting a lamp of which thing is considered right and auspicious during Navratri. This vessel of a lamp

It is very good to light earthen or brass lamps during Navratri. Lighting lamps in these vessels is very auspicious. These lamps should be taken care of very well, because breaking of the lamp is considered very inauspicious. Once a lit lamp is broken, it is considered very inauspicious. In such a case, broken lamps should not be used. They should be replaced immediately.

 

Use this thing for lamp

During Navratri, special care should be taken of the material used in the lamp for Akhand Jyoti or Deepak. In such a situation, cotton wick, ghee and pure oil should be used in the lamp. Once the lamp is ready, it should be lit only by using camphor or matchstick. Apart from this, try not to change the wick of the lamp again and again.

Keep the lamp in this direction

Keeping the Akhand Jyoti in the right direction is considered very auspicious. If you have lit a ghee lamp, then keep it on the right side of Maa Durga and if you have lit an oil lamp, then keep it on the left side of Maa Durga. While performing the puja, keep in mind that the wick should be allowed to extinguish on its own.
