A young woman from Bisrakh area of Noida has released a video claiming that she received chicken biryani despite ordering vegetarian biryani through the online food delivery app Swiggy. The incident, which reportedly occurred on April 4, has gone viral on social media.
In her video, the woman alleges that the restaurant deliberately sent her chicken biryani during the Navratri festival, a time when many Hindus observe vegetarian diets. She claimed to be a 'pure vegetarian' and said that she consumed "two to three spoonfuls" of the dish before realising it contained meat.

According to the woman, she placed her order with a restaurant called "Lakhnavi Kabab Paratha." After discovering the mix-up, she attempted to contact the restaurant but found it had closed, and no one answered her calls.
The video has sparked outrage on social media platforms, with many users expressing concern about food safety and religious sensitivities, especially during festival periods.
Reacting to the viral video, a X user named Vikram Rathor commented, "Complain to Swiggy and file a case with the consumer forum. You admitted it was eaten by mistake that doesn’t mean you carry guilt. It’s their blunder. Hold them accountable without burdening your conscience."
Another user blamed the woman for ordering food from a non-veg restaurant. "This happens sometimes, but you are also a fool, first of all, one should not eat outside food during Navratri, and if one has to eat out of compulsion, then veg mode should be activated, secondly, what was the need to order Lucknowi Kabab with Paratha? Should have ordered from Panditji Paratha!! Action should be taken against the restaurant!!" said another user.
