Country music sensation and Grammy Award winner Jelly Roll is making his highly anticipated WWE in-ring debut this August at the first-ever two-night SummerSlam Premium Live Event. The Tennessee native is set to team up with WWE legend Randy Orton in a tag team match against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul.
Jelly Roll chokeslams Logan Paul
Fans recently got a sneak peek of Jelly Roll's in-ring potential when he co-hosted an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! alongside Orton. The two recapped the events of Saturday Night’s Main Event, where Orton took down McIntyre with Roll in his corner. The celebration was cut short when McIntyre stormed onto the set and tackled Orton through the iconic swinging doors.

As chaos erupted, Logan Paul made a surprise appearance and confronted Jelly Roll face-to-face. After slapping the musician across the face, Paul found himself on the receiving end of a thunderous chokeslam through the talk show desk, drawing comparisons to The Undertaker’s signature move.
This isn’t Jelly Roll’s first taste of physicality in WWE. At last year’s SummerSlam, the singer-songwriter shocked fans by delivering a chokeslam to Austin Theory in the middle of the ring. That moment planted the seed for what has now grown into a full-fledged rivalry involving McIntyre, Paul, and Orton.

Jelly Roll putting in the work at WWE Performance Center
Jelly Roll has committed himself to serious training ahead of SummerSlam. He recently revealed on The Pat McAfee Show that he’s been working out at the WWE Performance Center in New Jersey, preparing rigorously for his in-ring debut. He’s been training alongside current WWE stars like Jacob Fatu and Kevin Owens, honing his skills and learning the nuances of professional wrestling. According to Roll, the experience has been intense but rewarding.
Guidance from WWE Legends
Jelly Roll’s preparation hasn't gone unnoticed. WWE Hall of Famers The Undertaker and Michelle McCool have even stopped by training sessions to offer support and guidance. Recalling the experience, Roll shared, “Undertaker comes in with Michelle and says, ‘Hey, we just want to watch for a minute. Is that cool?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, for sure!’ But they didn’t just watch they spent the entire three-hour session giving me feedback, move after move. It was surreal.”
