Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 24-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself in her flat under Kanadiya Road police station limits, the police said on Wednesday. She left behind a suicide note but did not disclose the reason for the extreme step, they said.
According to the police, Vaishnavi Patel, a resident of an apartment on Bhicholi Hapsi Road, was found hanging in a room in her flat by her husband Ayush on Tuesday.
Ayush informed the police that he ran a medicine business in the city and he was in his office at the time of the incident. He had made a phone call to Vaishnavi but she did not receive the call.
When he returned home in the evening and knocked on the door of his flat, there was no answer from inside. Ayush contacted people of her swimming class and later reached her brother’s place in Bhanwarkuan but Vaishnavi was not there.
Finally, he went home again with Vaishnavi’s brother and knocked on the door. As there was no answer, he somehow entered the flat through the window and found Vaishnavi hanging from the ceiling. He later informed the police.
