Indiatourism Mumbai organised a clean-up and tree plantation drives at Kanheri Caves in Sanjay Gandhi National Park to celebrate World Heritage Day.
World Heritage Day is observed globally on April 18 every year to raise awareness about the importance of preserving cultural heritage. To mark the occasion in 2025, Indiatourism Mumbai, which is the regional office of the Ministry of Tourism organised a special celebration in collaboration with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and Marriott Executive Apartments Navi Mumbai.

On the eve of World Heritage Day, officials from Indiatourism Mumbai, ASI, and staff from Marriott Executive Apartments participated in the clean-up drive in the premises of Kanheri Caves at 9am. The clean-up was followed by a tree plantation drive in the premises of the ancient Buddhist caves. ASI also conducted a guided tour of Kanheri Caves for all the participants.
