The change in State police leadership and continuous monitoring of Union Home Ministry has not only added precision to anti-Naxal operation as well as anti-Naxal policy in the state. With better inter-state coordination, security forces and security agencies progressing towards annihilation of Naxal organization as well as Maoist violence entire nation including Bastar and Chhattisgarh.
In the context, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on Monday reviewed the Naxal abolition campaign in Chhattisgarh in his office in the ministry. The meeting was attended by Home Minister Vijay Sharma, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Home Manoj Pingua, Director General of Police (DGP) Arun Dev Gautam, Special DG Naxal Operations, CRPF and senior officials of other security forces were present. The main focus of the meeting was the progress of the state's internal security situation and Naxal eradication operations.
Chief Minister Sai said in the meeting that the Chhattisgarh government is working strongly with the resolve to make the state Naxal -free under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He said that our goal is to eradicate Naxalism till March 2026 and we are making every effort in this direction.
The Chief Minister appreciated the indomitable courage, dedication and duty of the security forces officers and soldiers and said that due to their bravery, many areas of the state have been freed from Naxal effects today. He encouraged to keep the morale of the security forces more high and said that the final success is now very close.
Chief Minister Sai specifically directed that effective action should be ensured by strengthening mutual coordination and information collection mechanism in anti -Naxal operations. He said that Naxal abolition is not just a campaign, but a mission to secure the future of Bastar and Chhattisgarh, in which no laxity is acceptable.
Sai said that both security and development have to be carried along in districts like Bijapur, Sukma and Dantewada. He instructed the officials to increase dialogue to win the trust of local communities and the development works in the area should be completed at a fast pace.Chief Minister Sai said that special attention should be paid to road construction, health services, education and employment generation in Naxalite affected areas. He said that the public should feel that the government is dedicated to them and wants to bring positive changes in their lives.
At the end of the meeting, the Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is now at a decisive turn.
Concluding the meeting, Sai called for united efforts from all officials and citizens to achieve the vision of a peaceful, developed, and Naxal-free Chhattisgarh.
