Well, you must have eaten many types of koftas, many people like them a lot. But many people often make koftas from gourd only. But today we are going to tell you how to make koftas made from raw papaya, yes, you heard it right. Its taste is such that it can leave behind even the Shahi Paneer of 5-star hotels in terms of taste. So let us tell you the recipe to make it.

Ingredients for making koftas
Raw papaya – 1 cup (grated)
Boiled potatoes – 2 medium
Gram flour – 2 tbsp
Ginger-green chilli paste – 1 tsp
Salt – according to taste
Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
Garam masala – ¼ tsp
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp (chopped)
Oil – for frying
For gravy:
Onion – 2 medium (finely chopped)
Tomatoes – 2 (make puree)
Cashews – 10-12 (soaked in water)
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
Malai/fresh cream – 2 tbsp
Turmeric – ½ tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – ½ tsp
Salt – according to taste
Ghee/oil – 2 tbsp
Ingredients for making koftas Method
1. First boil the grated papaya for 5 minutes, then squeeze out the water and cool it.
2. Add boiled potatoes, gram flour, spices, and green coriander to it.
3. Knead well and make small balls.
4. Fry in hot oil till golden and keep aside.
To make gravy:
1. Grind cashews and make a paste.

2. Heat ghee/oil in a pan. Add onion and fry till golden.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry for a few seconds.
4. Then add tomato puree and add spices (turmeric, coriander, red chili, salt) and fry well.
5. Now add cashew paste, add some cream, and add some water so that the gravy becomes thick.
6. Cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes, then add garam masala and the remaining cream.
7. Once ready, add the koftas to the gravy and garnish with green coriander before serving.
8. Your tasty koftas are ready.
