The Karthik Subbaraj directorial, which hit theaters on May 1, 2025, is now expected to begin streaming on Netflix starting June 5, 2025, as per OTT Play. He clarified in an interview that despite speculation, the role was never intended for Thalapathy Vijay. “This story was not written for Thalapathy Vijay sir, as being speculated. I wrote this script keeping in mind Thalaivar,” he explained. However, after approaching Suriya, the narrative evolved from an action-centric plot to a love story with emotional depth.
