Malaika Arora, known for her ageless beauty and enviable fitness, recently shared her daily eating routine on Soha Ali Khan’s new podcast. The Bollywood diva, who is an inspiration to many for her glowing skin and toned physique, gave listeners a glimpse into her balanced approach to food and wellness. Malaika broke down her nutritional habits, making it clear that while she prioritises health, she doesn’t believe in starving herself or following trendy fads.
What Malaika Arora eats in a day?
Speaking to Soha on All About Her, Malaika revealed that she prefers to work out on an empty or light stomach, depending on how she feels. "I need to be not on a very full stomach. That works for me," she explained, adding that she’s an early riser who finishes her workout before eating her first major meal of the day. “Some people need fuel before working out, and that’s okay too. Everybody is different,” she said, pointing out that it’s essential to listen to your body rather than copy others blindly.
Malaika also shared that she never starves herself, no matter how packed her schedule is. In fact, the actress is so particular about her meals that she often carries food from home, including her favourite chiwda (flattened rice snack), when she has a long day ahead. “People laugh, but I carry my dabbas. When you’re not sure when you’re coming back, it’s important,” she said.
Once her workout is done, Malaika heads home to enjoy a wholesome breakfast. Her post-workout meals are typically simple, home-cooked dishes like toast, eggs, or dosas, no fancy protein shakes or packaged supplements. If she does opt for a shake, it’s homemade with natural ingredients like dates, bananas, and nuts blended together.
However, she isn’t against protein powders or supplements, but Malaika believes in sticking to what works for her. “If it works for you, go ahead and have it. But for me, I like to keep it natural,” she shared.
Malaika’s approach to food is all about balance, nourishment, and being in tune with one’s own body. Her mantra? Eat well, move daily, and never, ever starve.
