About Shiney Ahuja’s case

Known for movies like Gangster and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Shiney Ahuja was arrested in 2009 after his domestic worker accused him of ra*e, criminal intimidation, and wrongful confinement at his Mumbai residence.

Although he initially denied the charges, he later reportedly confessed during police questioning, only to retract his admission later in court. Despite the victim turning hostile and withdrawing her statement, the court relied on medical and circumstantial evidence. In 2011, Ahuja was convicted and sentenced to seven years in prison. He was later released on bail while his appeal remains pending, significantly impacting his Bollywood career.
