Facebook Update: Now using Facebook will be double fun! When you will get so much in the new 'Friends' tab..

For some time now, Meta has been bringing new updates one after the other for its social media platforms. At the same time, now the company has added a new Friends tab to the social media platform Facebook, which the company says will give you the best place to see your friends' stories, reels, posts, birthdays, and other things. That is, you will not have to navigate to different tabs to see all these things. You will be able to see so much in a single tab very easily.

'Friends' tab like this feature of Instagram

While Facebook's main feed shows posts and other algorithmic content of the pages you follow, this newly introduced 'Friends' tab will only have posts from people in your friend list, and recommended content will be filtered.

It looks similar to Instagram's 'Following' and 'Close Friends' feeds, which only show posts, reels, and stories of the pages you follow or the friends you have added to the Close Friends list.

How to set a new tab

After updating, this new tab is visible in the navigation bar on your home feed. Meta says that it can always be accessed in the bookmarks section of the app. To pin the Friends tab, click on your profile photo from the home feed and go to Settings and Privacy> Settings> Tab bar. Now select Customize the tab bar and click on 'Friends' to pin the tab.

The new tab is currently available only here

Earlier the Friends tab served as a place to see friend requests and 'People you Know'. Meta says that this change is part of Facebook's new campaign, which aims to bring back many 'OG' experiences throughout the year.

Initially this new tab has been introduced in Canada and the US. Although the company may soon roll out the Friends tab in other regions after some time, Meta has not shared any timeline about when it will roll out everywhere.
