Arsenal are still in transfer talks for Eberechi Eze despite focus, seemingly, on Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke. The Chelsea star and Sporting CP striker have both agreed personal terms to join the Gunners, over the last seven days, with their first two summer signings confirmed alongside that.
Last Tuesday, Kepa Arrizabalaga saw his move from Chelsea announced, with long-awaited confirmation of Martin Zubimendi's arrival from Real Sociedad arriving this past weekend. Everything is also in place for Christian Norgaard to join in a £15million deal from Brentford.
Very quickly - following a statement on the latter - it was widely reported that discussions for Gyokeres to join were advancing with Mikel Arteta aiming for a swift resolution there. There is currently a €5million (£4.3m) gap in valuation but it appears inevitable a full agreement will be reached soon.

Alongside that, work is being put into a deal for Chelsea's Madueke with the 23-year-old open to joining and the Blues not against selling at the right price which is believed to be £50million.
An opening offer is expected this week and if that switch goes through any more attack-minded signings may be unlikely unless a significant sale is sanctioned. That could leave Eze in a potentially difficult position with all parties open to the move, but no obvious route to getting it done.
The latest concrete update on Eze and Arsenal was that a meeting between the Gunners and his representatives took place last weekend. Direct contact with Palace was yet to arrive but ESPNare now claiming that club-to-club negotiations are ongoing.
They have also stated that it is unclear if Arsenal will be able to sign him in addition to Gyokeres and Madueke. The Eagles star has a £68million release clause in his contract but it is said that instalments can be used to sign him.
Journalist David Ornstein initially stated that Eze was being pursued alongside a striker and wide forward, but to actually even strengthen the latter, Gabriel Martinelli may need to depart. The Brazil international has been linked to Bayern Munich and Al-Nassr but no approaches have yet been made.
Eze can play in his position but is far better in central areas with some huge decisions now facing Berta and Arteta on how many players they want to continue pursuing - and if departures will be needed to make that possible.
