Benjamin Sesko has thanked Marco Rose in the aftermath of RB Leipzig parting ways with their head coach.
After the 1-0 loss away to Borussia Monchengladbach saw the hosts leapfrog Leipzig into fifth, they relieved Rose of his duties. It was just their second defeat since late January, but the team have equally won just three of their nine matches during that time.
Leipzig also lost all but one game during the league phase. Rose spent the last two-and-a-half years coaching , with the striker scoring 35 goals and assisting another eight across 79 appearances for the club.

He is the only head coach Sesko has worked with since swapping Salzburg for Saxony. As such, the player posted a message of thanks on his Instagram story on Monday morning.
"Thank you for everything coach. You gave me the opportunity to grow and get better! (hands folded emoji) (football emoji)."
Sesko shared a photo of him shaking hands with Rose after a Leipzig match alongside the message. A former assistant will coach the striker for the rest of this season.
Hours after parting ways with one coach, Leipzig announced the appointment of another, Zsolt Low. Approaching a year after leaving alongside , the Hungarian now has a first opportunity as a head coach.
Low previously worked with the now- boss at before following him to . Tuchel coached the former defender for two years while they were both at Mainz.
Then, after retiring, Low began his coaching career in Austria with the Red Bull Salzburg reserve team, Liefering. He went on to work for the first team and then Leipzig, assisting Ralfs Hassenhutl and Rangnick.
Low is now 's long-time assistant, Peter Krawietz, working with him and could well put a good word in for the Blues with Sesko.
